Alterations

Average price of wedding dress alterations is between $800-1500 (prices may vary depending on how the dress fit and the customization). We suggest starting alterations 3-4 months before the wear date or earlier. Bridesmaid dresses range around $200-500 for alterations and Mother-of-the-Bride gowns range around $300-700 for alterations.

Please make sure to have shoes ready during 1st fitting. You are not obligated to use our in-house alterations and you are more than welcome to search for outside alterations.

For a quote on gowns purchased outside of BoLee Bridal, there is a $25 appointment fee. The fee is waived when you pay for your alterations. Fee is refunded if you cancel 48 hours before the scheduled appointment date.

We offer free steaming for veils & dresses purchased with BoLee Bridal Couture during alterations. Veils purchased outside of the store can be steamed for:

$50 (fingertip, elbow, shorter)
$85 (floor, waltz or knee length)
$150 (chapel, cathedral, longer)

THE PROCESS

WHAT TO EXPECT

What to expect during your alteration appointments for wedding dresses only.

*For bridesmaid dresses or mother-of-the-bride gowns, there are 2 fittings only & appointment runs about 30 minutes.

01/

1st Fitting

1 hour long. The pin fitting. You will receive a consultation with the seamstress to see what needs to be done to the gown. Any customization to the gown should be addressed. The seamstress will pin you while in the dress. Bring shoes or any undergarment you plan to wear during this appointment.

02/

2nd Fitting

~20-30 minutes long. You will get to try on the gown after everything is altered. Usually if everything looks good, you will be able to take the dress home. Gown will be steamed, packaged, and ready to wear. If more changes are needed, a 3rd/final fitting will be scheduled.

03/

3rd Fitting (if necessary)

~20 minutes long (if necessary). This will be the last fitting and usually the stage for picking up the gown. The gown will be steamed, packaged, and ready to wear.
